Description The City of Markham manages 18 historical, pioneer and abandoned cemeteries. The operation of Markham Cemeteries is governed by the City By-law 178-93.  
 
Markham has 5 active cemeteries where lots are still available for purchase and burials are permitted. 
 
Interment Rights are available for purchase in: 
 
Buttonville Cemetery 
Eckardt Cemetery 
First Baptist Church Cemetery (Markham) 
Hagerman West Cemetery 
St. John's 5th Line Church Cemetery (Milliken)

Fees The fee to purchase a burial lot is $950.00 plus HST and $500.00 plus HST for a cremation plot, with an additional charge of $200.00 plus HST for corner markers.
