Description & Services
Description Provides settlement services in many languages for newcomer students and their families in their local schools * School Settlement Workers work closely with school staff, parents, students and volunteers to establish welcoming communities in the school for newcomers and to pave the way for a smooth integration in Canadian society * helps newcomer students and their families gain access to community resources * sponsors many family, youth and group activities to promote multiculturalism in the schools, and build self-confidence and leadership capabilities in youth * settlement information and referral
