Description & Services
Description Project Abraham of the Mozuud Freedom Foundation takes all needed steps to bring privately-sponsored Yazidi refugees to Canada for family reunification (application process, fundraising, resettlement groups etc) as well as assists in the resettlement of government-sponsored Yazidi refugees who have been brought to the GTA and who settle in Richmond Hill in order to be close to the larger Yazidi community * helps save Yazidis from genocide and ethnic-cleansing and to help refugees in Canada to build a new life
Dates Year round
Hours Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
Languages English ; Arabic ; Most of our refugees speak Kurmunji, a Kurdish dialect. A few speak only Arabic and many speak both languages. Our volunteers are primarily English speakers but we have a roster of Yazidis who are able to translate for us.
