Use an electric miter saw to saw 2" to 3" diameter wooden poles into hundreds of slices about 1/4" thick. Use a bench-top electric disc sander or belt sander to sand both sides smooth. Use an electric drill to drill a hole in each one. Work is dusty, and done outdoors on days when it's not raining. Use our tools here; or, if you prefer, use your own tools at your own home.

Knitters/ Crocheters required to work from home. Meeting the first Sunday of each month at the Markham Library (7 & 48) at 1-3pm. And every third Sunday at the Stouffville Legion at 150 Mostar St and Hoover Dr, at 1-3pm. You can check out our web site for info. Own yarn used but some times donated supplies available to volunteers. 
Charities who received donations are: Pathways York Region, Project Linus, York Region Women's Centre, Yellow Brick House Women's Shelter, Rose of Sharon for UnWed Mothers and The Pregnancy Center.
