Adopt-A-Stream Program Volunteer [ More info  ]  
Adopt-A-Stream groups sign on to adopt a section of a stream, riparian area or wetland, and to care for this space as part of a long-term commitment. Participants are lead through the steps required to develop small-scale community stewardship projects and volunteer their time to implement the work. Groups are encourage to select an adoption site in an area where they have some local knowledge. A wide array of projects could be completed at adoption sites; some examples include tree plantings, wetland restoration and creation projects, stream bank stabilization, fish and wildlife habitat enhancement, riparian zone rehabilitation, fish barrier mitigation, garbage cleanups, and fisheries and wildlife monitoring. Adopting a section of a stream or wetland area provides an exceptional hands-on learning experience for all ages and provides volunteers a chance to be actively involved in environmental efforts in their community.

Centre for Dreams (The)

Rouge Park Trail Volunteers [ More info  ]  
As a Trail Volunteer, we have 2 opportunities: 
1) Laed Walks: Plan and lead public hikes, walks and/or other outings on the Rouge Park trails to offer a variety of trail experiences covering various: audiences, distances/pacing, times of day, days of week, Rouge Park themes ie. fitness, natural heritage, cultural heritage, nature/wildlife. Present a positive, consistent image to Park visitors. Deliver Code of Conduct messaging and enforcement. Encourage visitors on you hikes/walks to come back and try other walks. 
 
2) Amabassador: Welcoming visitors at trailheads, introducing or updating them on the Park's trails and habitat areas. Helping build an outing for visitors to best see the Park. Roam trails in pairs greeting visitors who are 'self guided'; offer navigation, interpretation, guidance for further visits. Deliver Code of Conduct messaging and enforcement. Present a positive, consistent image to Park visitors. Encourage visitors on you hikes/walks to come back and try other walks and Park events.
Rouge Park

Windfall Ecology Festival Volunteer [ More info  ]  
There are a number of volunteer opportunities. We require responsible individuals to assist with within the park during the day of our environmental festival. This may include, setup, tear down, assisting with children's activities, general park upkeeping and event coordination. You are not required to commit to the entire day or weekend.
