DutiesWant to make a lasting difference in the life of a child? Become a volunteer KidCoach! 
 
You will have the opportunity to coach a Kid as they set out to accomplish a community-oriented goal. Following a structured curriculum in one to one coaching, you will help a Kid learn how to reach higher, try new things, and discover a new level of self confidence that will make a lasting difference in their lives. 
 
Our adult coaches have fun too, while they develop coaching skills and connect with others volunteers in the program.  
 
As a KidCoach you will commit to: 
 
• Attending 1 evening Orientation (sometime in September) 
• Attending 1 full day KidCoach Training Session (sometime in October) 
• Making 22 weekly coaching phone calls (20-30 min each) with your Kid (Nov-April)  
• Attending 3 full day weekend Activity Days

Skills/Experience• Proficiency in English is a must 
• Task requirements: hearing, visual, and verbal communication 
• Have e-mail, internet and phone access 
• Be enthusiastic, playful and fun 
• Be flexible and adaptable 
• Be accountable and committed 
• Be open to other cultures, and enjoy learning along side people of all ages  
• You don't need to know anything about children or have previous volunteer experience with children, but you must be committed to helping a child develop the potential leader within them
Additional RequirementsVolunteer Screening Process requires each volunteer applicant: 
• Complete a KidCoach Application 
• Complete an Initial Interview via telephone with FPK program staff 
• Provide 2-3 professional/personal references 
• Provide clean Police Reference Check 
• Attend an orinetation eveneing and a training day
