DutiesGroups of volunteers may donate community service hours to assist with beautifying the parks and green spaces within Markham. Maps, gloves and garbage bags are provided. Suitable for church, community or corporate groups. Groups must provide their own leaders to supervise people as well as refreshments. 
 
Other stewardship activities are possible depending on time of year and group size. 
 
Events:Annual Pitch-In Week in April, Ongoing Clean Ups, Adopt-A-Park program in Spring and Fall.
BenefitsA cleaner environment, encourages civic responsibility, pride and environmental stewardship, as well as volunteer hours for high school students.
ClientsAll ages as long as children are supervised, and groups scope out the area prior to the clean up for potential hazards.
