| Description | Victim services of York Region is a non-profit, charitable agency that works in partnership with York Regional Police and the O.P.P. to provide 24 hour emotional support and practical assistance to persons victimized by crime or tragic circumstance Victim Services Programs: 1. On-Scene Response 2. Telephone Crisis Response 3. Community Collaboration 4. Support Link 5. Victim Quick Response Program We respond to cases of: Domestic violence; Family occurrences; Sexual assault; Assault; Robbery; Fire; Break & enter; Homicide; Sudden death; Traffic accidents; Property crimes/ damage; Criminal Harassment Volunteers may become involved in the areas of: Administration/Fundraising; Project Development; Board of Directors; Victim Response; Team Leader; and/or Secondary Support If interested in becoming a volunteer, please call the Manager of the Volunteer Program 905 953-5363 or email victimservices@yrp.ca for a volunteer application and instruction | |||
