DescriptionThrough the Ontario Drug Benefit Program (ODB), the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care covers most of the cost of prescription drug products listed in the Drug Benefit Formulary/ Comparative Drug Index, when prescribed by a doctor or dentist licensed to practice in Ontario. The prescription must be filled in Ontario  
 
Special Drugs Program 
Provides financial assistance for Ontario residents with large prescription drug expense caused by long-term or catastrophic illness. Only covers those drug and nutritional products, blood-glucose testing agents, and Facilitated Access
