DescriptionCommunity-based Peer Mentoring Program that matches youth volunteers, aged 16 to 29, in a one-on-one relationship with "at risk" children aged 6-15. Role of the volunteer is to be a positive role model * Volunteer will spend approximately 3 hours a week with the child engaging in activities they both enjoy. The match is based on common likes and interests and geographic location. Volunteers will make a difference and build their resume while volunteering close to home and on their own schedule.

Volunteers are between 16 and 29 years old * Children are between 6 and 15 years old 
 
For volunteers the following eligibility criteria apply: 
-Able to provide two professional references; (i.e. professor, employer, etc.).  
-Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Screening and interview  
-Able to commit to 3 hours a week on your own schedule for a year.  
-Second language preferred but not required.
