| Description | For over 25 years, Felix's Swim School has created and implemented one of the industry's most effective swimming curriculums - a unique European style of teaching based on three guiding principles: water safety, progressive learning, and an individualized competitive approach to instructing. The staff at Felix's Swim School goes to great lengths to ensure a fun environment while maintaining prime safety concerns and individualized attention to all students. Instructors, at Felix's Swim School, are Red Cross and Royal Life Saving Society certified and further trained in Felix's proven method of teaching. Instructors are chosen for their maturity, leadership skills, and ability to form trusting bonds with children, and their enthusiasm to work in high-energy environments. Felix's is proud to recognize that many former students return as skillful instructors. Most important is our European skilled and trained staff, which has been with us for many years and will be for many more to come. Our instructors come from Olympic junior teams, high level competitive swim teams, synchronized swim coaching, and physical education professionals. This allows us the opportunity to provide a high quality "Learn To Swim" program with emphasis on smaller classes for safety and efficiency. Classes are one hour in length with a 3:1 student/teacher ratio, as well as 30-minute classes for Parent/Tot and children under the age of 3. For higher-level students (AquaQuest 7 and up), there is a discounted "Lower Rate" program provided for a 4:1 ratio. The swimming pool is a constantly warm 900, and calming even to the most timid student. Felix's Swim School provides three specially designed teaching facilities across Toronto located at: 7026 Bathurst St. Thornhill 205 Clayton Markham 643 Chrislea Rd. in Woodbridge (at Weston and Langstaff) Classes are held year round, seven days a week, for all levels, at all three indoor facilities. | |||
