DescriptionCommunity Service Programs 
 
Medical First Response Services: 
* St. John Ambulance Medical First Responder (MFR) volunteers attend public events across Ontario to provide basic and advanced first aid. *prepared to provide the first response casualty care necessary to save a life, prevent further injury or provide comfort until emergency medical services arrive.  
 
Therapy Dog Services: 
* well behaved canine ambassadors and their handlers visit people in hospitals, special needs programs or in long-term care facilities.  
* brings comfort and companionship to seniors, sick children, palliative care patients and the physically or mentally challenged  
 
Youth Services Program: 
* structured health-oriented program provides young people with opportunities for social, educational and personal development, through training, community service opportunities, leisure activities, and participation at special events. 
* Health oriented learning (ages 6-10), community involvement (ages 11-15), advanced first aid training (ages 16+), leadership development (ages 18+). 
 
Emergency Preparedness Program: 
* preparation for a range of emergencies *cope on our own for at least the first 72 hours of an emergency
