DescriptionOWN is an advocacy organization that works to achieve a caring society in which older women have the opportunity to live in security and with dignity to participate in the choices affecting their lives to give mutual support and share creative interests and activities and to realize their potential OWN helps older women express their needs and concerns such as: discrimination in the work force, Health Care, Elder Abuse, economic security, affordable housing, discrimination on the basis of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion or disability, etc. OWN's activities include lobbying and public education on the various social issues affecting older women
