DescriptionActive in helping our living Veterans whether from WW II or later and remembering those that have past on before us protecting our country and way of life 
The Candlelight Service at Elgin Mills Cemetery service is held every year in September and commences at 5:30 pm Sunday in Legion Week, November 11th, Remembrance Day, at the Cenotaph on Yonge Street commencing at 10:30 am 
Through grants and bursary’s the Legion helps Ex-Service Personnel and their dependants, sponsorships for low cost housing, wheelchairs and other specialized equipment such as artificial limbs, specialized equipment for hospitals and extras that are not covered in their budgets, sponsoring Cadets, Cubs, Scouts, Guides and other Youth Programs
