| Description | The College maintains flexible and appropriate standards of practice that include: defining what teachers should know and be able to do at each stage of their professional careers. Accrediting pre-service teacher education programs to ensure that graduating teachers meet requirements for entry into the profession. Setting standards for accrediting of in-service professional learning programs and the educational institutions or agencies that deliver them. Monitoring pre-service and ongoing teacher education programs to ensure compliance with the established standards. Developing a process to improve preparation and support for associate teachers working with beginning teachers. |
